To be or not to be a ‘Whoever’

The Book of John

In 1 John 5:1a, [Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God] the scripture opens with the word, whoever.’ Sometimes the term can bring uncomplimentary connotations but, in this instance, it’s the greatest invitation ever given to mankind. It presents to the listener an opportunity to live with Christ in eternity.

I am so glad that one doesn’t have to have a high station in life to qualify or having to identify with any particular group (black, white, brown, yellow, red, rich, poor, good or bad, republican or democrat, independent, conservative or liberal, gay or straight, married or single, educated or uneducated). It is justwhoever.’ It means that I have a chance!

Joel 2:32 says, [And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved].

Luke 12:8 further says, [Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God].

Perhaps you are someone who thought, like many today, that you didn’t qualify because of the ‘Xs’ in your past or the number of tattoos you have or whatever the reason. God wants you to know that His family is made up of one common denominator; we are all ‘whoevers.’

If you are not yet apart of God’s family, join today by doing what 1 John 5:1a says [Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God].

Pray this with me now, “Father, I believe that Jesus is the Christ and I want to be in Your family of ‘whoevers.’ Thank you for accepting me now.” Welcome to God’s family. Please let me know that you have made this confession, believing in your heart that Jesus is the Christ. I want to send you something that will be helpful.

If you are already a ‘whoever,’ pray with me today for our new brothers and sisters that God will lead them to a Bible teaching church where they can grow in God.

Thank you and have a great day!

Amen, this is one of the most important messages we should carry to the world. No sin or person is so bad that grace and forgiveness can’t be attained through accepting Jesus as our Lord and savior.
