Judges 13:15-16 (NLT) – Then Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, “Please stay here until we can prepare a young goat for you to eat.” 16“I will stay,” the angel of the LORD replied, “but I will not eat anything. However, you may prepare a burnt offering as a sacrifice to the LORD.” (Manoah didn’t realize it was the angel of the LORD.)
Sometimes our lives can be so filled with activities that we mistake our busyness for God’s purpose and plan for us. We can appear to be ‘pregnant’ with purpose but our bellies are just ‘bloated’ with the cares of this world.
Take a moment today to consider ways in which you can release the air of busyness and get back to God’s purpose in and for your life. True pregnancy requires a seed. Find a way to seed your God-given purpose. Ask God what He would have you to sow as seed.
Manoah offered an offering of gratitude for the wonderful things God told him and his wife.
Have you sown seed for the things that God has revealed to you? If not, determine how and what you can sow to fertilize your God-given purpose.
