Worship is our response

Worship is our response to God’s love; a love that is the basis of our relationship with God.

This is a love that is everlasting according to Jeremiah 31:3 [The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you”].

It is a love that has no limitation. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” That is certainly a love that defies limits!

It is also a love that doesn’t keep score; Romans 5:8 [But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us].

It is a love that is merciful according to Ephesians 2:4 [But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us].

Can you imagine where we would be if God’s love kept score and had no mercy? But we can’t stop there because God’s love is beyond human’s comprehension.

Ephesians 3:18-19 says, “…may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

God’s love for us is the result of His Divine choice according to Ephesians 1:5-6 [Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved].

Finally, God’s love is inseparable! Romans 8:38-39 says, “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

My friend, how can we resist a love like that? Let’s choose not to, instead let’s embrace it and receive His Love even when we think we don’t deserve it.

God doesn’t love us because we deserve it, He loves us because He chooses to.

Show God that you can love Him back by worshipping Him at every opportunity.

Peace and blessings!

    Amen PT.
We are blessed that the men of GCFI are worshipping and leading by example. I encourage everyone to show their love for God by worshipping at the alter every Sunday.
