Many people reject the opportunity to receive Christ because they have bought “hook, line and sinker” the devil’s lie, “it’s too late!”
The enemy has convinced them they are just too bad, have done too much wrong, have gone too far away from God or have missed their opportunity years ago.
They think that they had a window but failed to take advantage of it and are now doomed because the window of opportunity has closed.
Thank God for the record provided of the crucifixion of Christ where those guilty and sentenced to death, who hung on crosses with Christ, were promised to be with Him in Paradise that very day.
Now, I don’t know if it can get any later than it was for those fellows. What that record reveals to you and me is that it is never too late.
Consider the following responses to excuse #2, “It is too late:”
• When the wicked turns… he will live.
Ezekiel 33:19 – But when the wicked turns from his wickedness and does what is lawful and right, he shall live because of it.
• Why have you been standing here idle all day?
Matthew 20:6 – And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said to them, ‘Why have you been standing here idle all day?’
• The one who comes to Me, I will certainly not cast out.
John 6:37 – All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.
• Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.
Romans 10:13 – For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
My friend, there is little greater pleasure than pulling people from the edge of the cliff called “too late.” My thrill is seeing their relief when they realize that God loves them and all is not lost.
Meditate on these scriptures, write them out and place them where you have easy access. Ask God to prepare your heart for the opportunity to share them in a way that will accomplish all that He has planned and purposed for the two of you.
Rejoice in anticipation of the victory.
Peace and blessings!
