I am grateful that God’s goodness can be seen in many ways!
Consider the following evidences of God’s goodness, paying particular attention to the characteristics of God’s goodness you need to embrace most today.
God’s promises reveal His goodness:
1. Brighter days
Psalm 30:5 – For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.
Psalm 34:19 – Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.
3. Divine care in sickness
Psalm 41:3 – The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
Isaiah 51:3 – The LORD will comfort Israel again and have pity on her ruins. Her desert will blossom like Eden, her barren wilderness like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found there. Songs of thanksgiving will fill the air.
5. All things work together for your good
Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
6. Sufficiency of Divine grace
I Peter 4:12-13 – Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
7. Unlimited blessings
Mark 9:23 – Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
8. Answer to prayer
Mark 11:24 – Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
9. Removal of obstacles
Luke 17:6 – So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
The goodness of God seen in the life of Christ is the same goodness God unveils to us today. Read Acts 10:38 and consider the way in which you might embrace God’s goodness in new ways and at new levels.
Acts 10:38 – … how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Peace and blessings!
