Manna For Today: Thursday, May 26, 2016
Mark 3:1-6 – Another time Jesus went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there. 2 Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath. 3 Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Stand up in front of everyone.” 4 Then Jesus asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent. 5 He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored. 6 Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.
God takes note of your hurts, pains, faults and frailties. Nothing misses His attention and His interest covers every detail of our lives. Many watching for what Christ will do for you are not friends of Christ or partners in His work; they may be leaders in the counter-culture.
God wants them to see what He does for you; it will create a critical mass that will take them in or out. While the world doesn’t want God’s good done daily, their evil has no end.
The poor lost souls who imagine themselves enemies of the Master must be pitied for not knowing that they don’t know. Thank God, He prepares a table for us in the presence of those who would make themselves His enemies and ours also.
Today, receive God’s blessings in your life as the world scorns you for doing same. He’s the joy of the earth with or without their approval. Don’t be surprised if they get worse as you get better. Pray for them!
Peace and blessings!
