Imagine That!

Manna For Today: Sunday, March 19, 2017

I Corinthians 2:9No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.

The Bible has much to say about imagination.

Proverbs 23:7“…For as a man thinks in his heart, so he is.”

Genesis 11: 6The Lord said, “Now that they are one people speaking one language; this is only the beginning of what they will do. Now nothing they have imagined they can do will be impossible for them!” [Speaking to Babel about the tower they desired to build which would have become an idol had they built it.]

God shows us how to effectively use our imagination and how we can avoid building idol towers with our imagination. What makes the difference in effective and ineffective imagination is its origin. Obviously, vain imaginations, the Bible speaks of, are a product of human determination while imagining that which lovely, pure, etc. is, has its origin in God.

Today, let’s harness our imagination and contemplate that which originates from our Father! Start with His Word then search for Him in the other detail of our lives. Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

Heavenly Father, thank You for being who you are, loving, merciful, just and unchanging. Thank you for the plans, hope and future you have for my life. Continue to prepare my heart, clear my sight and open my ears so that I may Love and move on what I hear according to Your will. Help me share with everyone You place in my path what a great GOD You are for those who love You and who are called according to Your purpose. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Thank You Lord for giving me the the desire to continually seek and serve You. Let my imagination soar higher than space shuttles as long as it originates from You. Let me always have thoughts that are pleasing and satisfying to You Lord! In Jesus mighty and matchless name, Amen!
