Shield Up!

Manna For Today: Monday, May 15, 2017

Ephesians 6:16At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the Evil One.

The means through which we remain in a shield-up status is to consistently manage our thought life. The enemy of our souls consistently fires thoughts at us in hope that our shields are down so that we may become vulnerable to his suggestions.

The Bible says that we must allow the mind that is in Christ to also be in us. So even though he fires, he has no authority to be successful with his mission unless you give it to him.

How do we give him opportunity in our lives? We do so by failing to cast down every imagination and high things that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ and to bring every thought in obedience to Him.

Today, practice lining up your thoughts with Christ’s in every detail of your life. You may have to reboot frequently but with practice the reboot decreases as Christ increases.

Remember, you are loved! Tell someone what you are working on.

Peace and blessings!

Father thank You for Your wonderful word. Let my thoughts line up with Your thought and let me cast down any all things that rise up against You. In Jesus Mighty and matchless name, Amen!
