Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
The two things we know from the Word of God about our destiny are, one, His destiny for our life is good. The scripture above makes that clear. God has a plan to prosper us and to give us hope and a future.
The hope here means a confident and favorable expectation of obtaining good. So God is saying that He has blessed us with an attitude conducive to obtaining or achieving success. He is at work in us, “giving us the desire and power to do what pleases Him!”
Secondly, the Bible teaches us that our destiny is not some unalterable conclusion. It is not fate or karma. It’s your choice; you are going to have to consistently choose the destiny God has for you because the enemy of our souls doesn’t want us to realize what God has for us.
Deuteronomy 30:15-19 – “See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.”
So let’s choose life right now and move forward in the destiny God has for us.
Remember, you are loved!
Peace and blessings!
