Overcome in God!

Manna For Today: Monday, August 5, 2019

Anxieties, worries, trials and tribulations are a difficult part of life. Thank God He gives us scriptures that help us put them in perspective and, more importantly, to overcome them in every detail of our lives.

Consider the following words from God as antidotes to whatever you may be confronted with today:

1. I have no need to fear anyone or anything.

Psalm 27:1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

2. I listen carefully to His direction and correction.

Isaiah 41:13For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’

3. I am settled in my heart in Him.

Ecclesiastes 7:9Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, for anger rests in the bosom of fools.

4. I am ‘one-thing’ minded.

Luke 10:41-42And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

5. I live in an anxiety-free zone because of Him.

I Peter 5:7Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.

6. I reject score-keeping as a strategy for processing life and relationships.

I Corinthians 13:4-5Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.

7. I am well-equipped and capable in Him.

Philippians 4:13I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Take these resources our Father has made available to us and use them to His Glory!

God’s Plan For Us

Manna For Today: Sunday, August 4, 2019

Micah 6:8No, O people, the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what He requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

This text embodies God’s perspective of how we are to comport ourselves. What follow are further details on God’s life lessons for us:

1. Know that submission reflects the authority of divine commission.

Ephesians 5:21And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

2. Conceit will always defeat.

Philippians 2:3Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

3. Let it go, let it go, let it go!

Colossians 3:13Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

4. Get rich quick!

Colossians 3:16Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

God’s Overcoming Grace

Manna For Today: Saturday, August 3, 2019

I Corinthians 10:13No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

The tests that God allows in our lives are all predetermined for our success. None, according to scripture, is beyond our capacity; all are under His supervisorial purview.

God is not banking on our faithfulness but upon His own. He has already determined what He will and will not allow in your lives and He’s determined your ability to overcome the same.

The ‘icing on the cake’ is that He’s prepares a way out so that you can endure. So you say, you’re stuck where? I don’t think so; ask God!

Let’s Fight For Excellence!

Manna For Today: Friday, August 2, 2019

Fighting for excellence is:

1. Believing God’s Word above everything else.

Romans 3:3-4For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: “That You may be justified in Your words, and may overcome when You are judged.”

2. Refusing to settle for anything.

Isaiah 1:19If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.

Matthew 8:13Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.

3. Giving no place to Satan in our lives, homes, churches or cities.

I Peter 5:8-9Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

Ephesians 4:27… nor give place to the devil.

4. Being an example of excellence in everything we do.

Proverbs 12:26The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray.

Ephesians 5:1Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.

5. Fighting for the fulfillment of God’s vision in our hearts.

Proverbs 29:18Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law.

II Timothy 4:7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

God’s Promises to Me

Manna For Today: Thursday, August 1, 2019

Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Meditate today on God’s marvelous promises to you in this text. Walk in all He makes available to you!

• I have no reason to fear for God is with me.

• I will not be dismayed for You are my God.

• You will strengthen me.

• You will help me.

• You will uphold me with your mighty hand.

The only thing left to do is to thank Him!

Remember, you are loved!

Soar, Run or Walk in God!

Manna For Today: Wednesday, July 31, 2019

Isaiah 40:31But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

There is a sense in which this message reaches all of us where we may be in our lives. The common thread is our source of strength (that is, the Lord) and our expectation of receiving something needed or desired from Him.

So whether you are in a season of soaring, a season of running or a season of walking, soar, run or walk in His strength daily!

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

Face The Impossible With God!

Manna For Today: Tuesday, July 30, 2019

The Bible says in Luke 18:27, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”

If we believe the Word of God, we must believe then, based on this scripture, it is possible for the believer to walk in the possibility of the impossible. God’s power is manifested when we move beyond our possibilities.

When facing the door of impossibility, we can:

• Refuse to go through and return to that which is familiar.

• Just stand there and do nothing.

• Move forward by the Power, Presence and Purpose of God.

Walking forward is a decision we have to make; no one can make it for us. Sometimes, the beginning can look like the end but God is always there to lead and guide us through our moving-forward decision.

God wants to do something extraordinary in all of our lives and the only thing that can stop that is us. You can stop the move of God in your life but no one else can.

My friend, don’t run from your impossibility. Run to it knowing God’s Provision will be manifested as you move beyond your possibilities!

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!
