You Are A Victor!

Manna For Today: Monday, August 19, 2019

My friend, my heart is filled with joy when I tell you that, no matter where you are or what you are confronted with, God has promised that you will ultimately be triumphant in every circumstance. I am joyful because I know your victory is inevitable.

The Bible says that no purpose of God can be withheld from Him [Job 42:2I know that You can do everything, and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You].

His purpose for you is that you prosper and have a great future [Jeremiah 29:11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope].

So my friend, prepare to be amazed by God. His loving kindness towards you is extravagant.

Consider God’s promises of ultimate triumph:

1. Triumph over evil influences.

Psalm 44:5Through You we will push down our enemies; through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us.

Psalm 91:13You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

2. Triumph over evil spiritual forces.

Luke 10:19Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

II Corinthians 2:14Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

3. Triumph over worldly allurements.

I John 5:4For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

4. Triumph over satanic powers.

Revelation 15:2And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.

Friend, begin to thank God for the many ways He has and is blessing you.

Meditate on these scriptures and allow them to become a part of your thought-life. Apply them frequently during the course of your day by confessing them as your reality.

Thank God who always causes us to TRIUMPH!

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

Weapons For Our Warfare

Manna For Today: Sunday, August 18, 2019

Weapons are critical to success in warfare. It will not suffice to just have a weapon, but the right weapon, for the context you are warring in, can assure your success. On one occasion Jesus tells Satan “it is written” while on another Jesus says “this kind only can be moved through fasting and prayer.”

The devil uses weapons in an attempt to defeat believers. His arsenal includes sin, sickness, poverty, divorce, doubt, accidents, fear, worry, apathy, offense, depression to name a few.

Our weapons include the following:

1. The Name of Jesus

Mark 16:17-18And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

Philippians 2:9-11Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

2. The Word of God

Ephesians 6:17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

3. Our prayer

Ephesians 6:18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints…

Matthew 18:18-19Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19 Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.

4. Our confession

Mark 11:23For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

II Corinthians 4:13And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak.

5. Our worship

Luke 4:18“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”

Matthew 18:20For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.

We must not become:

a. Complacent

I Peter 5:8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

b. Religious

II Timothy 3:5…having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

c. Deceived

John 8:31-32Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Stay Focused!

Manna For Today: Saturday, August 17, 2019

Matthew 6:32-33These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.

What we run after could be a statement of what we have prioritized in our lives. The secret to our productivity is to simply stay focused on and in God; focused not just on what He’s said but what He is saying now. The real question in our lives is, “Can we hear Him now?” You will when you stop listening to everything else.

Remember, you are loved!

Who Can Stand Against The Lord?

Manna For Today: Friday, August 16, 2019

Job 38:8-11“…Or who shut in the sea with doors, when it burst forth and issued from the womb; when I made the clouds its garment, and thick darkness its swaddling band; when I fixed My limit for it, and set bars and doors; when I said, ‘this far you may come, but no farther, and here your proud waves must stop!’”

I don’t know what you are going through right now or what lie the enemy is trying to get you to buy into. What I do know is that no one can stand against the Lord; no challenge you may be facing, no diagnosis you may have gotten, no failure you have experienced or mistake you may have made or loss you may have experienced, nothing can and nothing will stand against our King.

Position yourself with God’s power and authority surrounding you. You don’t have to get the victory because Christ already has it and you have it in Him. Meditate on and rest in the Truth. You are victorious right now in Him, no matter what the situation. Just believe!

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

Get Up!

Manna For Today: Thursday, August 15, 2019

Romans 8:1There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Things happen in our lives that can bring us to our knees. We spend days in pain, crying, depressed, broken and just out of it. There comes a time when what’s needed is for us to get up. To rise above our pain, disappointment, above our shame and humiliation; above our fear and failure. It will not be until then that we see His victory even in that despicable set of circumstances.

Get up today, my friend, dry your tears, wash your face and step into the light of His Son. God is not done with you, He’s waiting to continue supporting your life. He’s never left you or never will. Get up, stand up on the inside first; get up! You can and He’s waiting!

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

Take A Stand!

Manna For Today: Wednesday, August 14, 2019

Ephesians 6:13-14aTherefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore…

This is not as much what we do as it is what He enables us to do. It’s our ability in Him to stand in the midst of what would, under other circumstances, certainly solicit reaction from us. But because of what He is inside us, we don’t move, we stand.

We stand because we have been set in that place by God for His purpose. We stand because He has established us there. We stand because He stood in the face of great adversity, even death, and overcame so that we could overcome.

Join your brothers and sisters worldwide who are standing right now in Him, pray for them, confess His Word over them and stand not just for yourself but for them also.

Take a stand! Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

I Am Never Alone!

Manna For Today: Tuesday, August 13, 2019

One of the ways the enemy attempts to deceive and defeat us is to cause us to improperly manage feelings of loneliness. We all have seasons when we feel lonely; what’s important is how we choose to manage them.

There is no greater antidote to loneliness than the presence of God. Practicing God’s presence bridges an abiding awareness that expels any sense of loneliness.

Allow the following verses to bring to you the comfort of His presence as you contemplate them.

1. On life’s journey

Genesis 28:15 Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.

2. When rest is needed

Exodus 33:14And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

3. Gives courage for life’s battles

Deuteronomy 20:1When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.

4. In tough times

Isaiah 43:2When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.

Friend, you can defeat the bitter bite of loneliness! Meditate on these verses until you are convinced that God is there. Place them where you’ll see them frequently and commit them to memory.

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!
