He’s Always There!

Manna For Today: Sunday, July 2, 2017

Hebrews 13:5Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

We are never alone nor forsaken! Thank you Jesus!

Wait Until You Receive God’s Direction

Manna For Today: Saturday, July 1, 2017

One of the many ways we are tempted in the midst of crisis, is to become impatient and move ahead without consulting God.

In I Samuel 30:8, David asks God for direction and receives it; [So David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”]

The pressure from outside threats can push us to self-reliance but don’t fall for it. Take a moment right now to read and meditate on Psalm 27:1-5 below and allow God to take control of every level of your concerns.

Psalm 27:1-5The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. 4 One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple. 5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.

The battle you’ll fight will be between your compulsion to do and your need to wait on God.

Allow the following scriptures to aid and direct your waiting:

Psalm 27:14Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD!

Psalm 37:7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

Psalm 123:2Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, until He has mercy on us.

Isaiah 30:18Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him.

Psalm 25:2O my God, I trust in You; let me not be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me.

My friend, look to God, wait on Him as He will never leave nor forsake you. Meditate on these scriptures and strengthen yourself.

Remember, you are loved!

Failure Is Not Final!

Manna For Today: Friday, June 23, 2017

James 3:2We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.

Breaking News: Nobody is perfect; everyone makes mistakes.

We all have had failures and have had to deal with fears related to failure. We’re members of the same club because we’ve failed.

Romans 3:23 says, “For there is no distinction to be made anywhere: everyone has sinned, everyone falls short of the beauty of God’s plan.”

So what do we do? We put failure in perspective; stop making it a bigger deal than it needs to be. Everyone fails, get over it. When you do, learn from your mistake and move forward.

God’s View Of You…

Manna For Today: Sunday, June 18, 2017

Ephesians 1: 4-6How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son.

See yourself the way God sees you and relieve yourself of the pressure of attempting to be good enough in any area of your life. God is saying to us, that because of Christ, and in Him, we are more than enough; try, “holy in His eyes, without a single fault and covered with His love.”

Bask in that for the rest of the day, week or month!

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

You Win!

Manna For Today: Sunday, June 11, 2017

Romans 8:31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Knowing how much God loves you enables you to do extraordinary things. People’s opinion will always affect us especially those closest to us but we don’t have to be inappropriately influenced by them. People can say awful things about you but it doesn’t have to overtake or direct you.

Embrace the fact that you cannot please everyone and focus on pleasing God instead. “If God is for us, who can be against us?” The answer is no one!

Practice that mindset daily and remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

God Is Our Solid Rock!

Manna For Today: Thursday, June 8, 2017

Our trust in our God related to every detail of our lives is not wasted; not because of what we see or have as outcome or result but because:

1. Our God is great, faithful, just and upright.

Deuteronomy 32:4He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He.

2. Our God does what He says.

Numbers 23:19God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

3. Our God is our solid rock foundation.

Psalm 18:2The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

4. Our God does not change; what He is today, He will be tomorrow.

James 1:17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

You really can trust our Heavenly Father. What have you held back that you need to give Him now?

Meditate on these scriptures that speak to His nature and character and take that secret thing to Him today!

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

Reset Your Finish Line

Manna For Today: Wednesday, June 7, 2017

II Timothy 2:15Make every effort to give yourself to God as the kind of person He will approve. Be a worker who is not ashamed and who uses the true teaching in the right way.

The ‘rat race’ is the one that has no end; we run and run for a reward that we can lose sight of; forgetting why we were running in the first place. STOP! Reset your finish line now by focusing on winning God’s approval. He will give rest in a sea of weariness.

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!
