Don’t Forget…

Manna For Today: Thursday, July 6, 2017

Matthew 8:24Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.

Storms are a part of life; no matter what your station is in life you will find challenges an equal opportunity employer. They will come without warning and they will be varied in type and intensity.

So what do we do? Don’t forget three (3) things when facing a storm. When the waters of your life are troubled:

1. Don’t forget where Christ is.

Joshua 1:9Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

2. Don’t forget what Christ has done.

Deuteronomy 8:18But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

3. Don’t forget who He is.

Matthew 28:18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”

Revelation 1:8“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

John 8:36So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Remember, you are loved!

Be Still…

Manna For Today: Wednesday, July 5, 2017

Psalm 46:10Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Sometimes the pace of our lives causes us to miss many things of great value; the relationship wanting for love, the child in need of your attention, taking better care of yourself and so forth.

The most important negligence of our lives is breezing by our knowledge of God. The text above gives us great warning; “Be still.” Many good things can come out of periods of silence or stillness. The greatest of these is knowing that your God is God!

David said in this famous Psalm, “The Lord is…” Today, my friend, practice the disciplines of stillness and knowing, to the end that your God’s presence becomes a greater reality in your life.

Your God has and will continue to deliver you!

Today, meditate on Psalm 34: 17-20 [The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. He guards all his bones; not one of them is broken].

God is indeed our refuge (comfort, relief, help and hope).

Remember, you are loved!

God’s Sovereignty

Manna For Today: Tuesday, July 4, 2017

Isaiah 46:9-10Remember what happened long ago; acknowledge that I alone am God and that there is no one else like me. 10 From the beginning I predicted the outcome; long ago I foretold what would happen. I said that my plans would never fail, that I would do everything I intended to do.

Not only is your God sovereign but He is in complete control while things may seem to be totally out of control. He has measured the intensity and duration of your challenge to ensure you are able to weather this storm. He is absolutely God and there is no other.

God’s purpose in your life will stand so trust Him with abandonment. Practice awareness of His presence and remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

Endless Supply

Manna For Today: Monday, July 3, 2017

Lamentations 3:22-23Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

This text says it all. The only thing left for us to do is to come to Him with hearts filled with gratitude that His mercies are an endless supply.

Today, come close to your Heavenly Father and receive all you need. Find someone else in need and lead them to drink from the sweet waters of His mercies.

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

He’s Always There!

Manna For Today: Sunday, July 2, 2017

Hebrews 13:5Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

We are never alone nor forsaken! Thank you Jesus!

Wait Until You Receive God’s Direction

Manna For Today: Saturday, July 1, 2017

One of the many ways we are tempted in the midst of crisis, is to become impatient and move ahead without consulting God.

In I Samuel 30:8, David asks God for direction and receives it; [So David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”]

The pressure from outside threats can push us to self-reliance but don’t fall for it. Take a moment right now to read and meditate on Psalm 27:1-5 below and allow God to take control of every level of your concerns.

Psalm 27:1-5The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. 4 One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple. 5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.

The battle you’ll fight will be between your compulsion to do and your need to wait on God.

Allow the following scriptures to aid and direct your waiting:

Psalm 27:14Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD!

Psalm 37:7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

Psalm 123:2Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, until He has mercy on us.

Isaiah 30:18Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him.

Psalm 25:2O my God, I trust in You; let me not be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me.

My friend, look to God, wait on Him as He will never leave nor forsake you. Meditate on these scriptures and strengthen yourself.

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

Love Equals Success!

Manna For Today: Thursday, June 29, 2017

I Corinthians 13:8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

So get rid of all the other methods from the past where by you’ve define what success was and exchange them for love because love equals success.

The Bible says, “Love never fails.” So how do I apply that to my everyday falling down and getting up life? Allow God’s love to be your motivation for everything you do; business, family, academic career, job or relationships. Whatever you do, love must be your motivation if you want to succeed.

Why is that? Because God is love and if God is foundational to your hopes, dreams and aspirations, get ready to experience success.

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!
