God’s “Even Though”

Manna For Today: Tuesday, January 16, 2018

Tap into God_s glory today, my friend. Rise above whatever may be confronting you, speak those words inspired by none other than Him,

Judges 13:3The angel of the LORD appeared to Manoah’s wife and said, “Even though you have been unable to have children, you will soon become pregnant and give birth to a son.”

We often wrestle with our inability to control our environment or circumstances, whether they are related to our children, spouse, finance, health, future, business or job, education, etc. It seems just about the time we think we have a handle on things something beyond our ability to control comes up and we find ourselves in the familiar place of uncertainty. At some point we realize that what has caught us by surprise was not at all a surprise to our Father. In fact, He incorporated even the difficult challenges of our lives into his plan of growth and development for us and others.

In Judges 13:3, God spoke to Manoah’s wife, Samson’s mother to be, using two profound words that changed not only her destiny but the destiny of all of Israel. The words are “even though.” Verse 2 reveals to us that she was “unable to become pregnant.”

What do you do when God tells you to embrace possibility in what has been impossible to you? You simply say, ‘yes’ understanding that God’s plan and purpose for your life will come to fruition in spite of your environment or circumstance. I believe that there is an “even though” in God for all of us.

What is it that you have struggled with in the past but would love for God to do this year? Find His purpose in the thing you desire, exchange your plan for His and get ready for the ride of your life “even though.”

Remember, you are loved!

Inside Out vs. Outside In

Manna For Today: Monday, January 15, 2018

Proverbs 4_23 tells us, “Watch over your heart with all diligence for from it flows the springs of life.”

Judges 13:4So be careful; you must not drink wine or any other alcoholic drink nor eat any forbidden food.

What do you do when God comes to you and tells you, “I am going to use you to end your greatest challenge in your life and the lives of many others?” You listen intently to what He says next.

“So be careful!” What was He warning Samson’s mother to be careful of? Be careful of what she allowed inside from outside sources.

We can find parallels in our lives. Proverbs 4:23 tells us, “Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.” This is another warning to be careful because outside influences can be detrimental. Take a moment right now and allow God to reveal to you where your watch might be strengthened and ask your Father for help in accomplishing the same.

Share your discovery with a trusted brother or sister in the Lord to whom you can be accountable. Perhaps they may share with you some needs of their own.

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

Persevering Under Trial

Manna For Today: Sunday, January 14, 2018

There is probably no more significant quality to growing your faith than perseverance. God enables us to persevere no matter what happens. Every obstacle becomes a classroom for the believer to move the needle of growth toward greater experiences of victory in Christ.

Consider the following scriptures that aid us in our classroom during times of overcoming obstacles, difficulties, trials and tribulations:

1. Christ enables our steady pace as we walk in Him.

Romans 12:12Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.

2. Perseverance is a divine privilege given to those who dare to believe!

Colossians 1:11-12We also pray that you will be strengthened with all His glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to His people, who live in the light.

3. Timing isn’t everything but the right time is.

Galatians 6:9So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

4. Develop a clear vision of your reward so that in your most difficult times it becomes your motivation to persevere.

James 1:12God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.

5. Resist weariness with every fiber of your being when it protests against doing good.

II Thessalonians 3:13As for the rest of you, dear brothers and sisters, never get tired of doing good.

My friend, find a way to move forward every day of your life. If you are willing to take the pull God will get you through.

Remember, you are loved!

Praise Him!

Manna For Today: Saturday, January 13, 2018

engage your heart and mind. Praise Him!

Psalm 9:1I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.

Praise is the activity of a God-engaged heart. It is not an option, it’s an imperative. It is not related to convenience, it is all the time. It doesn’t result from schedule but from inspiration.

If we will still ourselves, the Spirit of God will praise Himself through us; that will not be ego but instructive.

Take a moment right now and get in touch with your God; engage your heart and mind. Praise Him! Tell someone about your great, kind, merciful, generous, gracious, forgiving and bountiful God.

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

There Is A Way Out!

Manna For Today: Friday, January 12, 2018

Put your trust in His faithfulness and not your own!2

I Corinthians 10:13The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a WAY out so that you can endure.

My Friend, you may be facing something that seems insurmountable or maybe something will come up later that will feel greater than your capacity to deal with it. This scripture is for you when you are confronted with this kind of issue.

Note what it says:

1. God will not allow any challenge in our lives that He hasn’t already equipped us to deal with; it’s of the common variety!

“The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience.”

2. Put your trust in His faithfulness and not your own!

“And God is faithful.”

3. God gets you and He’s got you!

“He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand.”

4. Live not preoccupied with but prepared for challenge!

“When you are tempted…”

5. There’s only one way out and God has it for you!

“He will show you a way out so that you can endure.”

Live an ‘in Him’ kind of life! Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

He Is Our Peace!

Manna For Today: Thursday, January 11, 2018

Allow Christ to simply be what He is to you today. He is your peace.

Ephesians 2:14For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall.

Allow Christ to simply be what He is to you today. He is your peace. Make that your affirmation and be at peace today and every day. In Him we really do live, move and have our being.

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

God Is With You Always!

Manna For Today: Wednesday, January 10, 2018

Today, reconnect with God in a new way and be mindful that He is at work in your life right now.

Among the many things I love about God is His ability to use every detail of my life in fulfillment of His Plan. You see, in the mind of the architect, the difficult parts have purpose too!

Every day of our lives begins with the favor of our Heavenly Father. When things happen in our lives that may be wonderful to us but generate negative response from others, it doesn’t mean that we are off point.

Some of the trouble we are going through are a necessary part of God’s Plan. Sometimes, down is going to be the way up for us; your failures and stumbles are as much a part of your development and growth as your successes. Sometimes they are more important than your successes.

I Peter 2:5 says, “And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God.”

Friend, we must remind ourselves daily that no matter what it is, no matter how it feels, no matter how difficult the task, God is with us right now and always. When we allow God into the challenges of life, the result will be favor, success and prosperity. God will not waste one detail of our lives but will use them all for His Plan and our good.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

It’s not that God causes it but I’m sure glad that He uses it. You can do the same thing, my friend; get determined right now to get blessed in your mess. Thank God we don’t have to be in a perfect situation to be blessed.

Today, reconnect with God in a new way and be mindful that He is at work in your life right now.

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!
