You Have No Need To Fear!

Manna For Today: Friday, June 16, 2017

Anxieties, worries, trials and tribulations are a difficult part of life. Thank God He gives us scriptures that help us put them in perspective and, more importantly, to overcome them in every detail of our lives.

Consider the following words from God as antidotes to whatever you may be confronted with today:

1. I have no need to fear anyone or anything.

Psalm 27:1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

2. I listen carefully to His direction and correction.

Isaiah 41:13For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’

3. I am settled in my heart in Him.

Ecclesiastes 7:9Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, for anger rests in the bosom of fools.

4. I live in an anxiety-free zone because of Him.

I Peter 5:7 – Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

5. I am well-equipped and capable in Him.

Philippians 4:13I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Take these resources our Father has made available to us and use them to His Glory!

How Do You Answer Your ‘If’?

Manna For Today: Wednesday, June 14, 2017

Romans 8:31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

The ‘ifs’ in our lives are much bigger words than they appear to be. From the perspective of the Word of God there is always a premise connected to a promise. God says, “If you do this then I’ll do that.”

The question becomes, how will you respond to your ‘if’? The text above can be viewed as a basic position of spiritual, emotional, financial and physical wellbeing from which the believers can function; all of which is predicated on how we answer our ‘if’  in one or more of the categories mentioned.

Take a moment right now to determine your answer to the ‘ifs’ in your life. Every challenge you face asks you the same question the devil asked Jesus; “If you are the son of God…”

My friend, Galatians 3:29 says, “And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

As Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise, you have the right to answer the Romans 8:31 question with a resounding, “God is for me and nothing will be successful against me!”

You Have Authority Over Fear!

Manna For Today: Saturday, June 10, 2017

Isaiah 41:10“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

What lie has the enemy been using to intimidate you?

• Know your troubles will not last.

• God is your strength; it’s okay if you are weak.

• He is your help; it doesn’t matter that you’re alone.

• Not sure you can stand? He’ll uphold you!

• Take authority over fear.

Live right now and from now on in this reality. Tell someone you’re doing exactly that!

Remember, you are loved!

Reset Your Finish Line

Manna For Today: Wednesday, June 7, 2017

II Timothy 2:15Make every effort to give yourself to God as the kind of person He will approve. Be a worker who is not ashamed and who uses the true teaching in the right way.

The ‘rat race’ is the one that has no end; we run and run for a reward that we can lose sight of; forgetting why we were running in the first place. STOP! Reset your finish line now by focusing on winning God’s approval. He will give rest in a sea of weariness.

Remember, you are loved!

Allow God’s Light To Dispel Your Darkness

Manna For Today: Sunday, June 4, 2017

Psalm 27:1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Light is always luminescent, protective and energizing; because of it we are able to see and be more than we would in the darkness of fear. It is the light of God’s presence that causes David to walk in courage in Psalm 23, where he reports a capacity to ‘fear no evil’ because of an awareness of God’s presence.

Today, practice an awareness of God’s presence especially in moments where you are tempted to fear people.

Memorize Psalm 27:1 and rehearse it at those times. Say it out of your mouth, under your breath or in your heart if you need to. Watch the light of our Lord dispel all fears in your life.

Remember, you are loved!

Put Your Faith To Work!

Manna For Today: Tuesday, May 30, 2017

James 2:17So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

Faith by it’s very nature demands company; alone it cannot affect or impact. In concert with someone it has no limit. Our Heavenly Father desires us to be difference makers, world changers and trendsetters.

So what is it that keeps us from accomplishing God’s goals for us? It’s our failure to give God something to bless. We don’t move our inspiration to realization by taking actions based on our faith.

David gave God a sling shot to bless, Noah his carpenter skill, Moses a rod, Paul a life and Mary a womb. What is it in your life that you can give God to bless that might change your destiny starting today?

Don’t try and figure out what it is on your own; go to God and ask Him to lead you through the process of discovery that will reveal to you what you can give Him to bless today.

Like David you may already have it but are unaware. Find your stones and get ready to slay your giants.

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!

Hear God Calling You!

Manna For Today: Monday, May 29, 2017

Joshua 1:9This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

What a great benefit to live life in the assurance of God’s presence, power and provision!

Today, hear God calling you once again (He never gets tired) to a place of courage and strength; be strong and have courage. You can do it because He said you can!

Command fear and discouragement to leave and invite the peace of God in.

Today, know that wherever you go your awesome God is with you!

Remember, you are loved!

Peace and blessings!
